Middle School

A 4-Week Middle School Summer Enrichment Program

When: Monday through Thursday

The weeks of June 19, 26, July 10, July 17 

Time: 9 AM -2 PM

Where: Kenmore Church (2025 12th St SW, Akron, OH 44314)

Cost of Middle School Enrichment Program: $750

Transportation Will Be Provided Home

SWAG's Middle School Summer Enrichment Program offers students the chance to engage in inventive academic pursuits, including math games, writing exercises, and science projects. By incorporating Ohio's ELA, Math, Social Studies, Fine Art, and Science standards, we ensure a comprehensive and captivating learning experience, customized for each participant. Every Tuesday and Thursday, students embark on educational field trips to enhance their understanding. The Summer Enrichment Program aims to elevate students' academic performance, instill confidence in their abilities, and set them on a path to success in high school and beyond.

High School

3-Week High School Program:

Writing Our Adventures

When: Monday through Thursday, the weeks of June 19 and June 26 

Time: 8 AM to 1:00 PM

Where: REACH Opportunity Center

(390 W Crosier St, Akron, OH 44311)

Cost of High School Enrichment Program: $750

Embark on a transformative journey with our High School 3-Week Summer Program, "Writing Our Adventures." This innovative creative writing workshop aims to inspire young writers while fostering self-discovery and skill development. Our program is thoughtfully designed to enhance students' creative writing abilities and equip them with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in today's fast-paced world.

Incorporating Ohio's ELA, Social Studies, and Fine Arts standards ensures a comprehensive and engaging learning experience tailored to each participant. Our program seamlessly integrates field trips to various cultural and historical sites, allowing students to draw inspiration from real-world experiences and broaden their horizons. Follow up activities will help participants to improve their language arts, social studies, and fine arts skills.

Academic Boost

3-Week Academic Boost for Middle and High School Students

When: Monday through Thursday,

The weeks of July 31, August 7, August 14

Time: 9 AM to 12 PM

Where: REACH Opportunity Center (390 W Crosier St, Akron, OH 44311)

Cost of High School Enrichment Program: $150

The Academic Boost program is meticulously designed for students seeking extra support on their path to academic excellence. By integrating Ohio's ELA and Math standards, we provide a well-rounded and captivating learning experience, tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. Our all-inclusive program features personalized tutoring and academic coaching, empowering students to improve their grades, cultivate effective study habits, and establish a robust academic foundation.

3-Week Academic Boost for Middle and High School Students

$150 for this 3-week program

The Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Fund

Qualifying families may receive up to $1,000 towards camp through Ohio ACE. The ACE Educational Savings Account program is available to any Ohio child ages 6 to 18 years old (who hasn’t graduated from high school) who meets at least ONE of the conditions below.

  • RESIDENCY

    Eligible districts include: Akron City Schools, Barberton City, Coventry Local, Springfield Local and more!

  • INCOME

    Children who reside in a household with an Adjusted Gross Income at or below 400% of the federal poverty level.

  • GOVERNMENT SOCIAL PROGRAM PARTICIPATION

    Children who are part of a family that participates in programs such as Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Ohio Works First (OWF) or other government social programs.
