Middle School

Scholars with SWAG

When: Monday through Thursday

Session 1: September 11 - December 14

Session 2: January 16 - May 23

Time: 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Where: Summit Lake Community Center

Cost: $70 per week

Transportation Provided 

The Middle School Summer Enrichment Program provides students an opportunity participate in creative academic activities such as math games, writing exercises, and science projects. Every Tuesday and Thursday, students will go on explorational field trips. The goal of the Summer Enrichment Program is to boost a student's academic performance, help them build confidence in their abilities, and prepare them for success in high school and beyond.

Cultivating Opportunities for Real-World Experience (CORE)

When: Monday through Thursday

Session 1: September 11 - December 14

Session 2: January 16 - May 23

Time: 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Where: Summit Lake Community Center

Cost: $70

Writing Our Adventures is a creative writing workshop that aims to inspire young writers on a journey of self-discovery. Our program is designed to develop students' creative writing abilities and equip them with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in today's fast-paced world.

Cultivating Opportunities for Real-World Experience (CORE) 

$70 per week of session

The Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Fund

Qualifying families may receive up to $1,000 towards camp through Ohio ACE. The ACE Educational Savings Account program is available to any Ohio child ages 6 to 18 years old (who hasn’t graduated from high school) who meets at least ONE of the conditions below.

  • RESIDENCY

    Eligible districts include: Akron City Schools, Barberton City, Coventry Local, Springfield Local and more!

  • INCOME

    Children who reside in a household with an Adjusted Gross Income at or below 400% of the federal poverty level.

  • GOVERNMENT SOCIAL PROGRAM PARTICIPATION

    Children who are part of a family that participates in programs such as Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Ohio Works First (OWF) or other government social programs.
